Ischemic stroke, intravenous alteplase AND EARLY administration of aspirin

Ischemic stroke, alteplase and early intravenous administration of aspirin in ischemic stroke in the therapeutic window is held antithrombotic therapy, such as alteplase. Current guidelines, antiplatelet agents, aspirin, acetylsalicylic acid, more correctly, starts to be introduced after 24 hours from the onset of stroke.

Zinkstok SM and colleagues evaluated the results of a multicenter, randomized, open the schemes of treatment, but the closed-end points of the study on the effect of early (within 90 minutes of the start of administration of alteplase) intravenous administration of aspirin on outcomes of ischemic stroke.

The results showed that the process has no effect on the outcome of stroke in the first 3 months, either in positive or in negative results.

The conclusion is simple - with antithrombotic therapy with antiplatelet stroke no need to hurry.

Recall ischemic stroke from the world meteodependent states.
