CLIMATE AND SEASONS OF THE YEAR

Climate and seasons of the year under climate (Greek????? (Klimatos) - slope) understand the long-term (statistically estimated) weather conditions in the area due to its geographical position.

Climate is none other than the long-term average for the period of observation weather in the locality.

The Earth's climate determined by the interaction of the sun, oceans, cryosphere, land surface and the biosphere, but the main driving force is the Sun.

According to the number reaching the earth's surface solar energy, seasons are separated by astronomical, synoptic, climatic and phenological characteristics.

According to the degree of solar heating of the earth's surface of the calendar year is divided into warm and cold, light and dark seasons.

In temperate latitudes, clearly differentiate the four seasons - spring, summer, autumn, winter.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the astronomical beginning of spring is determined by the vernal equinox ((20-21) of March), summer - the highest point solstice ((21-22) June) and autumn - the moment of the autumnal equinox ((22-23) September) and winter - the highlight of the winter smaller solstice ((21-22) December).

Each geographical zone has its onset and duration of climatic seasons.

Each season has its own characteristics, the weather is largely determined by the height of the sun, air and soil temperature, atmospheric phenomena geographic area.

The cold season - a period of the year with an average temperature below zero degrees Celsius.

Warm season - period of the year with an average temperature above zero degrees Celsius.

In the cold season increase risks of death, injury, frostbite and frostbite, exacerbations and worsening of cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, respiratory and infectious diseases.

With cold related KHOLODOVA diuresis, cold allergy, general hypothermia, winter asthma, diabetes, an epidemic of acute respiratory viral diseases, etc.

During the cold season develops Seasonal Affective Disorder.

The frequency of exacerbations chronic increases during the transitional seasons, our band in October - November and late February - early April.
