To minimize the damage from such a disaster, NASA is developing a project Solar Shield (Solar Shield). It relies on the computing power of interagency center simulation (CCMC), located in the center of Goddard (Goddard Space Flight Center).

So while the Solar board as a ready-to-use end-user product does not exist. We can say that it is in beta, and its creators are just gaining experience to refine the software.

Meanwhile, some companies have already placed in their power grids sensors that can detect effects of solar storms for power equipment.
